If God had told me there were 27 things I had to change before I could come to him then I would have quit that night. As a follower of Christ, we are to lead people to him through our example. Not because we are perfect, but by showing how God’s grace works in our imperfect day-to-day life.

We Are Not In The Business Of Cleaning People Up

We catch them, but Jesus cleans them. That’s why it’s such a bad idea to tell people, “You’re going to hell.” We’ve all heard it. We hear it from every direction. If there’s anything people know, it’s that they are going to hell. What they need is to be loved. They need to be reeled in, shown happy Jesus and that they have a Savior. They need to be loved to the cross.

Our Challenge

The enemy has us questioning whether or not we are hypocrites. He has us looking at our imperfections and thinking we aren’t qualified yet. If we wait, we never will be. I’m not qualified to be your pastor, yet God is still working on me. You accept that I have problems, but you listen because you’re looking for something real.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1)

Be Encouraged!

Lord, you have placed in us all that we need to show others your love. If we will allow our light to shine in our actions, attitudes and behaviors, others will want what we have, and that will open doors. We look for opportunities to share what you have done in our lives. Thank you, Jesus!
