Are You The Yacht Or The Sailboat?
One week at church, a woman said to me, “I don’t know if you are a crook or a fake or whatever, but I’m bringing my husband next week. I know if he ever gets on fire for Jesus, it will be a radical change, so don’t jack this up for me!”

She brought him and two weeks later this guy asks Jesus into his heart. Soon after that, he’s invited me to go on a trip with him and his Dad. As it turns out, the Dad owns the largest caramel apple distributor in the world. They want to show me all of the islands in the Bahamas as a guest on their yacht.

During the trip through the islands, the Dad always had the boat at full throttle. He did not seem to like the people who just sailed along peacefully on their sailboats. Come to find out, the people on the sailboats had also seen all of the islands. They were just doing it at a slower pace. They were enjoying their life and not rushing through it.

Lesson Learned: Sometimes you can live life a little too fast.

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.. Psalms 37:7

Too often we are QUICK to wish away the trials. As the winds of trouble blow, WE PRAY THE BAD DAYS AWAY.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him… Romans 8:28

THROTTLE BACK your desire to rush through the heartache. God has permitted EVEN THAT for your good. Will you believe with me today that God has you in the palm of His hand? Rest in that knowledge and you’ll SAIL right through the next trial!
