We need to stay thirsty for God. When we are dry, we create an atmosphere that is ripe for spiritual warfare. The devil likes dry places. When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into a desert or dry place seeking rest. If we have a jacked up marriage, are spiritually dry or are too busy to read our Bible, we open the door for the devil.

A Wet Atmosphere Is Ready For Growth

God likes wet places that are ready to grow. Seeds begin to grow in dark, moist places. Healing occurs with moisture. When we are dry, and we moisturize, we go from being stiff and inflexible to moving freely and feeling refreshed.

Dead Things Are Dry

When we are dry, we will lose our job over our pride. When we are dry, we are still thinking about dead things that happened weeks ago. When we receive Jesus, we let go of the dry, stiff attitude. God’s love and His living word refreshes and rejuvenates us.

Be Encouraged

Seek the word of God quench your thirst. God’s word is like drinking from an unending pitcher of sparkling water after a day of working in 100-degree heat. When we immerse ourselves in God through worship, we give God a drink. When he touches our heart through the music or time with him, he gives us a drink. Let’s leave the dead situations behind us today and seek God’s living water. Amen!

John 7:38 (AMP) reads, He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’”
