God brought the Israelites out of Egypt and delivered them out of the hands of Pharoah. God delivered them on the wings of eagles. They didn’t enjoy or give thanks for their blessing, they complained and grumbled. They wandered the desert for forty years. God didn’t allow that just so that they could get more steps registered on their activity trackers.

A New Cycle Of Thanks

God is telling you today that we need to be more thankful and grateful. Every year looks like the year before, and God is saying you’ve been wandering around this mountain long enough!

The First Step Is To Admit It – You’re Blessed!

How can other people look at our lives and say, “Look what God has done?” and yet we don’t say anything? There are some people that are so blessed that they are not grateful because it’s NORMAL to them. If we went to Haiti and showed them one of our typical meals, they would lose their minds!

When Success Is The Norm – Stay Thankful!

What other people think is successful, is what we think is normal. Think about the last big thing you wanted and when you got it you were so excited. Then as it became your new normal, you began to grumble about the job or spouse. You began to complain about cleaning the house, and the car lost its luster. At some point in time, you had considered these things a measure of success, until they became the new normal. All things are from God, are we to be any less grateful when they aren’t new and shiny anymore?

It’s A New Day

Lord, we are so grateful for your patience with us. There are so many things that you provide, and we don’t even realize it to acknowledge it. THANK YOU. We will work harder to have Blessing Awareness and to start acknowledging the integral role you play in our life. You are good all the time and thank you for choosing us and for loving us so much that we can’t comprehend it. Amen!
