Courage LIVES!

Some of the scariest moments in life can be our greatest opportunities. When my father died, when my divorce happened, each of these things was a scary moment that pushed me to want to live! Sometimes we hide, and we play it safe because we’re afraid, so we never live to the fullest of our abilities and we miss out on opportunities. Are you living courageously?

We Need To Surround Ourselves With Others Who Stand For Their Convictions

Courage requires choosing to be around the right people and hearing the right things, so that God can surround us with his favor and accelerate us to where he wants us to be. King David showed his wisdom by surrounding himself with men of character and integrity. They were fearless men who were willing to die for their convictions.

Eleazar Had A Braveheart Moment!

Then the Israelites retreated, but Eleazar stood his ground and struck down the Philistines till his hand grew tired and froze to the sword. The LORD brought about a great victory that day. (2 Samuel 23:9)

Eleazar stood his ground and killed the Philistines right and left until he was exhausted. He never let go of the sword. This victory was a big win that day for God because this guy had character, integrity; he was fearless and he was LIVING. Eleazar had a Braveheart moment. That’s what we need to be, fighters for truth, fighters for our mind, fighters for our family – we’ve got to do this!

Shammah Would Not Be Run Off!

Next to him was Shammah… When the Philistines banded together at a place where there was a field full of lentils, Israel’s troops fled from them. But Shammah took his stand in the middle of the field. He defended it and struck the Philistines down, and the LORD brought about a great victory. (2 Samuel 23:11-12)

This guy was pretty much saying, “I’m standing here in this bean field; they’re not going to run me out of here, I’m alive, I’m staying alive, I’ve benefited and my family is going to benefit from this field. I’m not taking this lying down.”

Stand With Me And Choose Today To LIVE!

You’re not going to lose your job, you’re a person of conviction, you’re not going to lose your mind, you’re not a person of compromise, you’re pushing through to be bold, and to be courageous.

Consider this poem today and choose to LIVE!

There was a very cautious man who never laughed or played.
He never risked or tried.
He never sang or prayed.
He one day passed away and his insurance was denied.
For since he never really lived, they claimed he never really died.
