When you were a kid, if you had a tough childhood and some bad stuff happened to you, it happened because the enemy saw the light in you. It’s about the enemy using people to do bad things to us in order to trip us up to keep us from taking on new endeavors. It’s ENTIRELY about territory!
The Devil Showed Up Whenever Jesus Was Taking New Territory
Jesus left one territory to go take another. As soon as he arrived, a man possessed with demons asked, “Are you here to torment us?” On the boat ride to this location, his own disciples were asking themselves, “Who is this man that even the winds obey him?” Whereas they did not know him, the devil did.
The Pain Of The Territory Can Be Exhausting
The devil will try to exhaust us emotionally and physically when we are taking new territory. He does that to reduce our ability to make decisions. We need to do as Philemon 1:6 says, “Acknowledge every good thing in us.” We should not even acknowledge something bad. We speak words of victory because we are victors, not victims.
Be Encouraged
Lord, we know that we cannot do what we are called to do if we are negotiating with the devil. So we will acknowledge every good thing in us. He comes at us with swords but we come at him with the word of the Lord! We WILL possess new territory!!!
