Do You Think You’ve Missed The Promised Land? You Haven’t!

Do you feel like a failure at times? Like you’re the only one who has gone through this? Are you feeling rejected? Well let’s look at someone’s life that you may not have examined closely in times past. Abraham Lincoln has a long list of failures in his life.

Consider Your Assumptions Against History:

1832 He lost his job and was defeated for state legislature.
1833 He failed in business.
1835 His sweetheart died.
1836 He had a nervous breakdown.
1861 He became president.

Even George Washington lost 2/3 of his military battles in the revolutionary war against overwhelming odds.

We Remember The Good, But God Shows That His People Stand Firm For The Long Haul

We think of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Albert Einstein and we don’t remember their failures, we only think of their contributions to the world.

“No matter how many time you trip them up, God-loyal people don’t stay down for long. Soon they are up on their feet while the wicked end up flat on their faces.” (Proverbs 24:16 MSG)

God’s People Overcome!

You’re going to end up back on your feet. You’re going to overcome the failure. Failure is not final.
“Strength! Courage! You are going to lead this people to inherit the land that I promised to give their ancestors.” (Joshua 1:6)

Your Influence Makes A Difference. Keep On Keeping On!

When you face life with courage, and you follow God with all of your heart, other people around you will benefit with your success, your family, your friends, your influence, and you’ll be able to follow through to the promised land. If you’ve fallen down today and you get back up, you’re not a failure. Keep on moving!
