It can be easy to think, “I’m going to base what God is GOING to do in my life, on what God has already done in my life.” That’s a BIG MISTAKE! God can do exceedingly, abundantly, more than we could ever think ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). God is watching and waiting for us to expect something BIG, something GREAT, and for something to CHANGE!

Shouldn’t It Have Happened By Now?

At age 35, knowing on the inside of me that I was called to Pastor a great church, I found myself thinking, but shouldn’t it have happened by now? I’m not even a pastor yet! My friends were years ahead of me, some started in their twenties, they started with a church of 1000-1500 people, and now they’ve got a megachurch. I felt like, man, I just don’t know if it could it ever happen for me.

Setbacks Are A Setup For A Comeback!

So I felt like I was already behind the curve ball, I was dealing with being divorced, then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere my Dad goes on to be with the Lord. I was depressed AGAIN thinking, “God why is this happening!” I felt like I was the only one going through that kind of pain, and I had a lot of questions.

Looking For Answers In All The Right Places

I found answers in God’s word where the Bible reads, I KNOW THE PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU; they are for good and not for evil to bring you to an EXPECTED end. (Jeremiah 29:11) God is working things out for our good (Romans 8:28). Despite the bad stuff, he wants us to be CHEERFULLY EXPECTANT (Romans 12:12) and to have hope (Jeremiah 29:11) because he has GOOD plans for us. Amen!
