In Matthew 4:1-4, the Bible reads, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” And Jesus answered…

If The Enemy Said Something So Bold To Jesus, Then He Definitely Will Say It To Us!

We should never doubt in the dark what God has told us in the light. The devil wants us to doubt. Jesus didn’t even entertain it; he turned to the word. We need to follow his example.

When He Was Tempted, Jesus Talked Back To The Enemy

Jesus was able to tell the devil; it is written. We don’t know it’s WRITTEN if we don’t read our Bible. If we don’t go to church, or go to iConnect and hear discussion about the Bible, then we won’t have it to pull from our memory bank. Don’t do life alone, get involved in an iConnect. Just get in and around the word, so that it can soak in, and you can talk back to the devil!

Jesus Could Do This Because He Knew The Lord Loved Him

Doubt is Satan’s badge of accomplishment. He wants to plant it to cause us to stumble. He tried it with Jesus, and Jesus didn’t consider what he felt, he immediately spoke the word in response to the enemy. Jesus had no doubt of God’s love. We need to KNOW that God loves us, and we’ll be reassured of that through time in his word.

Be Encouraged!

Maybe you’re thinking, “Jesus didn’t entertain doubt because he’s God, but this is ME!” YOU are just as much a son or daughter of God as God was himself. He gave his only begotten Son. He wants us to have life more abundantly. Lord, we will use the word to talk back to the enemy. We won’t entertain doubt and we will stand firm on the truth in the Bible. Amen!
