How often do people look at their checkbook and think, God I hope you’re on time. This mindset also applies to our circumstances. Everyone has had this thought at some time, or another. We struggle to trust that God is going to come through when we don’t see obvious our circumstances changing.

God Is Never Late

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo were probably hoping that God would be on time as they entered the furnace. Daniel was probably hoping God would be on time while he sat overnight in the lion’s den. Jesus lifted a basket of two fish and five loaves of bread to God saying I know this won’t feed over 20,000 people, but you are a God of more than enough. We will keep breaking bread until it runs out, and the people ate until they were full.

Take It, Look To God And Bless It

The disciples asked the question, “Are you expecting us to go and buy enough food for this whole crowd?” (Luke 9:13) If the disciples were asking this question, they had the funding. The disciples were not broke, but Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. (Luke 9:16) He took, looked and blessed and God provided. In fact, there were leftovers.

Believe For More Than Enough

We don’t serve a God of just enough. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) And Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. (Psalm 35:27)
