I saw a guy outside of a store begging for money one day, so I gave him $20. Someone nearby chastised me for doing so. You never know what has happened to cause someone to be in the position they are in. Judge not lest ye be judged (Matthew 7:1). I didn’t judge the homeless guy because I don’t know what he’s been through.

Would You Help Jesus?

Jesus said, “I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me….As you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:36-40 paraphrased). The point is that what we do FOR others, we also do for Jesus. What we do TO others, we also do TO Jesus.

Why Isn’t God Taking Care Of It?

God doesn’t just do things FOR us; he does things THROUGH us. We are the conduit for his will. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? (James 2:16) People care about what we know when they know that we care and actions speak louder than words. Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (James 2:17)

Be Encouraged!

Lord, help each and every of my friends reading this today realize that you are an UNLIMITED GOD and that they all have something you have given them to use for you. Help them to see that you have given them ideas, compassion, business sense, $3, their words, hands, and feet. Put a holy fire in them to use what you’ve given them for your glory. Amen!
