The scientific community has determined that when we laugh it releases endorphins that make us feel better. When we think about negative things (the news), it affects us physically and makes us unhappy. That’s why the Bible says to think on these things, whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy (Phil 4:8). God knows what we need. A CHEERFUL HEART IS GOOD MEDICINE. (Proverbs 17:22)

Come To Church, I’ll Make You Laugh

I was talking with a very popular, well-known comedian. I told him that I can prove I’m funnier than him. I explained that he makes people laugh during an evening show when there is a three-drink-minimum, and they are having a good time. I make them laugh at 9 am, on Sunday morning when they are sober and may or may not have had a cup of coffee, so I WIN! The point is we need to LAUGH! We should be OVERFLOWING, UNCONTROLLABLY HAPPY, AND JOYOUS WITH PRAISE for all that God is in our life.

Be Encouraged!

I encourage you to find the good things in your life. If you can’t find them, then watch a funny movie and rediscover your laugh. Give yourself permission to laugh no matter how rough your circumstances have become. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH (Nehemiah 8:10). Your joy is your strength. Consider that as you walk through this week. Be determined to lighten up and start chuckling at the small things that God brings across your path to laugh at. GOD HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR and that means you inherited one too!
