Back in the day, there was a woman who was crying over her debt. Her husband had died, and her debtors had come to take her two sons away. You see back then they didn’t just write it off, they made slaves of your children to work off your debt. Isn’t it sad that so many of people these days are doing slave labor because of debt? People aren’t working for a dream, and they work to keep their head just above their debt.

The Oil Business

In 2 Kings, 4:1-7, Elisha told the woman to go into the oil business. He told her to sell the oil she has and to use it to pay her debts. God can turn things around with one idea for an additional stream of income. God took this woman from one small pot of oil to debt cancellation and prosperity.

Work With What You Have

Elisha didn’t tell her to do anything magnificent. The first question he asked is “What do you have?” And she said, “Nothing but a jar of oil.” Her NOTHING BUT became prosperous once God slapped his super on her natural. Don’t minimize what you have in front of you. Use what you have, where you are (1 Peter 4:10) and be EXPECTANT! (Romans 12:12)

It Can All Turn Around Overnight – God’s Got This!

One moment you can be crying tears of anguish and the next moment you can be crying tears of joy. The scripture reads, weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

Speak What Is Not As Though It Is

(Romans 4:17)

I encourage you to start confessing over your debt that you are out of debt (Romans 4:17), your needs are met (Philippians 4:19) and God is tired of his kids being slaves. God wants us to raise our kids in his ways so that they don’t grow up with the slave mentality, and they know real freedom.
I call you blessed! Amen!
