The Soil Of The Mind

In the bible, there is a parable about seeds. It outlines how seeds can land on different types of soil and then either grows or does not, based on the care of the seed. These seeds are a representation of many things, but one would be our attitudes and moods. Check out the story here in Matthew 13:3-9, 18-23.

Shallow, Rocky, Thorny, Or Fertile. Which Are You?

In the story, there are four types of soil. Throughout the day, our state of mind can be representative of any one of those soil types. It’s ok to feel distracted or choked by circumstances, but then we need to return to what’s important. We need to renew our mind, praise God and shift our focus off of ourselves and our circumstances and back to Him.

Renew Your Mind

We need to take a praise break every 30 minutes and laugh. Even when we don’t feel like it, we need to laugh until we laugh for real. And don’t forget to dance. David danced until his clothes fell off. The rationale that we will be happy WHEN is a LIE! Every trial has an expiration date.

Be Aware. Be Proactive.

I’d like to encourage you to stay aware of your heart and mindset. You’re coming out healed. You’re coming out blessed. You setback is a setup for a comeback. Your breakthrough is on its way. Be sure to get in the Word, spend some time with God and enjoy your life!
