Jesus was a great example of living daily with a betrayer and not allowing it to affect his calling. Judas had ulterior motives, and there were signs. He had been selling Jesus out for a long time, but that didn’t stop Jesus. If we give a traitor enough rope, they will hang themselves. And the faithful person will abound in blessing (Proverbs 28:20). We need to realize there is a battle to hold us back. We must be unstoppable in pursuing our purpose.

Consider Not Taking Offense. Just Leave It On The Shelf

Satan gets an advantage over us as we drag grudges through life. Jesus said, “Father forgive them.” We try to make people pay, but we end up paying through aggravation, being mean, and generally miserable. There is a phrase “I take offense at that.” Offense is literally something we take, but in reality, we don’t have to take it at all. We can choose to leave offense alone and let it go.

Love People And Fight The Battle In The Spiritual Realm

We can fight everyone for the rest of our life, or we can let it go and be happy. We don’t always feel like doing things, but if we don’t forgive often, the little things will set us off. Instead of being suspicious, we need to give everyone a fair shot, and when they show us who they are, then we adjust. But no matter what, we need to choose to be happy and let things go.

Happy Jesus

We serve a God of joy who is open and wants a relationship with us. He wants us to have a hope and a future, to turn the bad things into good. He loves us enough to give his only son so that we don’t have to be separated from him ever again. This is happy Jesus. He experienced awful betrayal, and it didn’t hold him back from his calling. I encourage you to do as Jesus did. Forgive, carry on, and tenaciously live out your calling.
