If you wait until you are 100% sure that every question has been answered before you move, then you will never do anything great. You see, you will never be more than 80% sure and this approach will send you down the road we often call “paralysis by analysis”.
David stood up to Goliath, carrying only a few stones and a slingshot, not wearing any of the typical soldier’s armor and without carrying typical soldier’s weapons. What if David had waited until he felt more sure that the odds were in his favor? What if he questioned God’s ability to make those stones hit their mark on Goliath?
We Walk By Faith And Not By Sight
When God is taking me to the next level he always shows me step ONE, but I’ve never seen all 10 steps at once. It seems like God wants us to START walking and THEN He will fill you in on the details as you move forward.
“And We Know All Things Work Together For The Good To Those Who Love God, To Those Who Are Called According To His Purpose.” Romans 8:28
Move Forward
Many people get “stuck” because instead of responding in faith when God tells them to do something, they pull out their long list of questions. They say things like, “How can I afford it?” or “I’m too uneducated!”
Yet the bible says, “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6) and God says, “For I Know The Thoughts That I Think Toward You, Thoughts Of Good And Not Of Evil, To Give You A Future And A Hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Be Confident
If God is moving you into something new or unknown, if he is pressing you to “move”, GO, knowing that God goes with you because in Hebrews 13:5 he says, “ I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Has God spoken to you and you haven’t done anything about it? What is keeping you from starting today?
