There are people who wear a uniform every day and others who spend hours trying to put together an outfit. No matter who we are or what job we perform, even if we aren’t getting out of bed, there are specific items that we need to wear each day (Ephesians 6:14-17). Our success depends on it. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11)

Breastplate Of Righteousness And Shield Of Faith

The enemy shoots darts at us all day long through the words and actions of the people around us. We need to keep our bulletproof vest on to guard our heart because out of it flow the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)

Shoes Of Peace

We need to use our shoes of peace to walk IN peace and to be led by peace. This means listening to the still small voice inside that tells us to bite our tongue when in an argument or to apologize even when we aren’t wrong.

Helmet Of Salvation

This protects our mind as the world tries to jack our swag and beat us down. We will not let them penetrate our head and steal our joy. The enemy wants to get into our head and hurt our heart. We need to stop focusing on our problem and keep our eyes on God’s promises.

Sword Of The Spirit

The sword is the word of God. We throw our own words at the enemy and they are empty. When we use God’s word it has POWER and the enemy must back down.

GET DRESSED!

We need to put on our armor and stand. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13) I’ve had bad weeks, months and years where I’ve kept standing. Today I’d like to encourage you to stand with me, right there, in the middle of your life and your particular challenge. Will you stand firm today?
