Well it’s in our chest obviously! Or is it? According to the bible, For Where Your Treasure Is, There Your Heart Will Be Also. (Matthew 6:21) As we examine our lives, realize that an individual does NOT have to be in full-time ministry to be giving their time to God. God used people in business back in the bible days all of the time. And you don’t have to go to college in order to give God our talent. He IS more specific about our treasure. But the real starting point is our heart.

We Need To Ask Ourselves The Following Questions

To find out where our heart is at we need to ask ourselves the following questions:

1. Am I looking to God or people to meet my needs?
2. Do I get angry or resentful when people don’t help me as I want them to?
3. Do I blame others for my circumstances?

What Do Our Answers Look Like?

Are we too busy saying things like:
– It’s because of “The Man”.
– It’s because she left me.
– It’s because they hurt my reputation.
– It’s because I had a rough start in life.
– It’s because I’m not as smart.
– It’s because… because…because…

Reality

If God is walking with us and His Light is on us and flowing through us….I don’t care who they are, when God is in you and with you, “they” can’t mess with your mojo. Stop with the excuses, or “explanations” as some would like to call it. Get yourself full of God and let Him move in your life with boldness. Let him nudge you to action and trust that He will make a way. If God is in it, there is no limit. If He has put it in your heart, He will bring it to fruition… if we will stop making excuses and get on with the solutions.

Are Our Warning Indicators On?

When we are in the flesh and in darkness, we will try to defend ourselves. But if we let the Lord defend us, we don’t have to worry about it. The questions above outline warning indicators that show when we are looking to men instead of God as our source. If we do that we WILL be disappointed and grow bitter.
Have those questions helped you to find YOUR heart today? It helped me!
