You 1.0: Be Your Best Version Of You

Protect who you are because God loves you. He created each of us for a purpose. To reinforce our identity in Christ, we need to say out loud what God says about us. If we repeat the negative things that others say about us, we can’t expect to feel better after we’ve heard it for the second time. Our value, mood, and self-worth are NOT dependent on the actions of others.

Don’t Kill The Tree, Trim The Fruit And Fertilize The Root

We may have a bunch of symptoms in our life, but the real problems are usually in our root. If we clip the root, we might hit the fruit. We have good roots that have developed from our time with God and reading his word. We need to keep fertilizing that root. Any negative root needs to be killed with gasoline and a match. Don’t keep feeding that bad root.

A Few Guidelines On How To Get Rid Of A Bad Root

1. Stop living for the approval of others
2. Don’t settle for the attitude, “I need somebody bad, so I’ll take somebody bad.”
3. Don’t do life alone, choose to go to iConnect groups.
4. Stop living your life with you at the center of it and put God first.

Be Encouraged!

Lord, we are looking to you for our identity instead of in the success of our circumstances. We thank you for your unfailing commitment to stand by us and for your unconditional love. We are saying what you say about us and letting the words of others roll off of our back. We stand firm in your word, and we are claiming what it says in our life today. Amen!
