This week I have talked about how a God-focused life has laser focus on the right thing. I’d like to off why we can trust that focus. We trust that our cars will not fall apart while driving down the highway. We trust that people will stay in their lane or stop at stoplights. We trust those things even though they sometimes fail us. God is unchanging, always faithful, and he cannot lie. If he says it’s going to happen, it will. Check out this list of why we can trust a God-focused life.
1. We Can Trust God Because He Guides Us And Can See What We Cannot
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit…will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. John 14:26
He will guides us if we ask, listen and obey.
2. We Can Trust God’s Direction Because He Wants Good Things For Us
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above…from [God] with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17
God works all things for our good… Romans 8:28 paraphrased
3. We Can Trust God Because He Is Faithful And Consistent
God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Numbers 23:19
4. We Can Trust God Because He Never Changes
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
5. We Can Trust God Because He Will Never Leave Us
…For the LORD your God will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
Bonus: We can trust God because HE LOVES US SO MUCH that he came to walk in our shoes and to relate to us. Then died an undeserved death in our place in order to give us a way to be with him for eternity. That’s a God I can trust.
