I decided to take my wife and kids to the lake one Friday after having a bad week. I saw a flock of ducks fly away while I was out taking a walk. One baby duck was left behind and I saw that little duckling drown right before my eyes.
I cried out to God, “Oh my God, life is horrible!”
And at that moment, I could hear God say on the inside of me:
You have to MAKE yourself glad on EVEN THE WORST DAY. ESPECIALLY when the devil has shot his biggest dart into you. This will make the devil mad that he couldn’t maintain a hold on you.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of them all! Psalm 34:19
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:11
CHOOSE JOY every day. The devil will have to say, “Well, forget THAT; I’ll have to go somewhere else! Someone has been renewing this person’s mind. Even when I caused a duckling to die right before his eyes, he did not lose sight of God’s hope and love.”
Keep reading and following this blog – let God’s Word speak into your life each day. Soon, the devil is going to say about you, “Forget it, they know too much about the truth for me to fool with them!”

At some point in your life, you have to let Satan know that today is the day you are going to enjoy the journey.
Today is the day you are going to be happy with where you are until you get where you are going. That’s the way God intended it.
