You Have To Believe It Before It Can Happen
Our imaginations can wander into places that they probably shouldn’t go. When our imagination takes us into the gutter instead of to the mountain top, we need to begin thinking like God thinks.

God Can Do More Than We Can Imagine

In Ephesians 3:20 it says, “Now to Him who, is able to do (on the inside of us), exceedingly, abundantly, above all we could ever ask or imagine according to the power that works within us.”

Kick Negative Thoughts To The Curb.

We have vivid imaginations that turn negative real quick which is why the Bible says to TAKE CAPTIVE those negative imaginations and fling them down! (2 Corinthians 10:5)

Do you ever think fearful or negative things such as:

− I’m going to die early just like other family members
− My husband or wife is going to marry somebody else
− I’m going to be in a car wreck
− My child is going to be abducted
− I’m going to mess up and lose my job

Why are thoughts like these a problem?

Because God knows the POWER OF OUR IMAGINATION.

I’ve met quite a few individuals who have had extramarital affairs. When I ask them, “How did it start?” It turns out that the affair STARTED WITH AN IMAGINATION. They visualized themselves with that other person. The next thing they knew, the enemy set them up for a setback, things happened, and it was all because of their imagination. Their imagination was not in agreement with God’s Word.

Our imagination doesn’t have to be negative, it can be positive if we think like God.

Prominent people who had positive imaginations:

Abraham – Imagined he would have as many descendants as the stars in the sky.

Esther – Imagined herself saving the Jewish people by going to the king, at the risk of her own life and having her request be granted.

Noah – Believed God when he was told to build a huge boat (nowhere near water) and to put two of every animal on it.

Dr. Martin Luther King – Shared his dream of freedom and equality among races because it was what God called him to do.

What has God put on YOUR heart today?

I challenge you to:
Believe that God is able to do more than we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20)
− Take captive and cast down ANY negative imagination that might try to talk you out of what God is trying to talk you into (2 Corinthians 10:5)
− Where there is no vision the people perish (so GET ONE!) (Proverbs 29:18)
− Grab hold of the vision, write it down and RUN WITH IT!!! (Habakkuk 2:2)
