Do you ever review the movie reel of your life? Do you see the trials, troubles, and the resulting victories that came out of those troubles? It’s good for us to look back and see how God has brought us through. We need to remember. I think we have a habit of forgetting, and it is when we forget that we stumble in our relationship with God. We stop trusting Him. Our trust in God develops when we realize that God brought us through the flood, the fire, and He’s going to bring us through this situation. We begin to TRUST Him. When we realize that He has already helped us, and if He did it before, He’ll do it again.
God loves us so much He walked in our shoes. He’s got our back!
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)
Seriously, with God on our side like this, how can we lose? When we falter in faith, it’s because we believe our circumstances and forget that this is the God who didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us. He walked in our shoes, experienced our daily life on earth, and embraced our condition. He sent His Son to be exposed to the worst of humanity on our behalf.
There isn’t anything God wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us.
Think about it, who would dare to tangle with God by messing with God’s chosen ones? And who would dare even point a finger at the one who died and raised Himself back to life for us? There isn’t anything God wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us.
Nothing can come between us and Christ’s love for us.
Not trouble
Not hard times
Not hatred
Not hunger
Not Homelessness
Not bullying threats
Not back stabbing
Not even the worst sins listed in the scriptures can ever separate us from God’s love.
We grow our trust in God and increase our joy by looking at our own life.
I’d like to encourage you to do a review of your life, focus on the times where you realize that God brought you through some tough times. See how, over time, He turned those traumatic, painful or hurtful situations around for good. Look for it, it’s there! Think about it. Allow what God reveals to you, to build your trust in Him.
God has been there with you and FOR you the whole time. Just as He is NOW!
