Have you ever stepped out in faith and really trusted God but then that moment of discouragement hits? There is NOTHING easy about waiting on God. We have to be brave and courageous. Trusting that God will do what He says He will do. We cannot hold on tightly to every situation and frustrate the truth of God into a lie.

Courage and Bravery.

Psalm 127:14 says, “So, wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous.”

Trusting God.

Be brave and courageous while we wait? Yeah! Sometimes it takes a whole lot of courage just to sit back and say, “God! I trust you. I’m waiting on you, and I’m not going to internalize every situation and frustrate Your truth into a lie.”

Blindsided.

What God has in this season is going to happen in His timing. And then, all of a sudden, we get blindsided by something we didn’t expect.

Move Past the Pain and Go!

In the bible, there’s a story about Ruth and Naomi. Naomi’s son’s died, leaving her daughters-in-law, Ruth and Leah without husbands. Naomi told them, “There is new opportunity in Judea. We have to move past the pain and take God at His word. There is work to do. We need to go.”

Maybe we should be quiet when we’re discouraged.

Then Naomi began to overanalyze, and in a moment of discouragement she told the girls to turn back. We need to be careful what we say in moments of discouragement.

Ruth was a spitfire! And she was tenacious!

Ruth 1:16 it says, Ruth says, “Don’t force me to leave you. Don’t make me go home. Where you go, I will go. Where you live, I will live. And your people will be my people. And your god will be my god.”

Do we persevere or run back to what is comfortable?

Ruth persevered while the other daughter-in-law ran back to where it was comfortable, and there were no new doors of opportunity. Ruth and Naomi arrive in Judea and Naomi decides to speak into Ruth’s life, to have next-level thinking and to stop self-sabotaging their relationship.

We can go from not enough to more than enough over night!

Long story short, Ruth is married to a GOOD man and quickly goes from being broke with not enough, to having more than enough and being able to provide for her mother-in-law. They both had a role to play.

Our part is to boldly and courageously wait!

We need to be like Ruth and say, “Where you go God, I will go. I’m going to be bold and courageous and wait on you.” We need to realize there is a part for us to do, and there’s a part for God to do. And our part is to rest in God KNOWING that He will open up a door of opportunity that we never thought was possible!
