The marriage that didn’t work out, the business that failed, the overwhelming debt, the undesirable job, God doesn’t cause them, he allows them. We cannot grow if everything always goes right. We also won’t learn to lean on Him if we are sufficient unto ourselves.
“And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.” (Genesis 22:1)
All things come to pass.
What Is Happening In Us Is Greater Than What Is Happening TO Us
Sometimes we wonder how God is going to do a thing. We know He has told us He will do something, but we can’t comprehend HOW! All He wants is for us to be willing. We need to remember that God will supply all of our needs (Philippians 4:19), we have never seen the righteous forsaken (Psalm 37:25), and The LORD our shepherd, we shall lack nothing. (Psalm 23:1)
All things come to pass.
If You’re Going Through Hell, Don’t Stop! This Too Shall Pass
How often do we find ourselves saying, “Whew, that was a close one, Daddy!” The rent is almost due; the layoffs are pending, or the electric is close to getting turned off, Wait! God will provide (Genesis 22:9-11). God is never late, and He’s always on time. He’s waiting for us to stretch so that he can provide. Are we stretching in our faith, in our giving, in obeying what He has put on our heart?
