We are responsible for our actions and reactions. We make decisions that have consequences and then we blame God for creating the storm in our life. Some storms come from the devil, but more often than not they crop up because we are doing something that God told us not to do. Our storms are often the result of our disobedience. (If you don’t believe in the devil that’s probably because he told you he doesn’t exist. 😉
There Are Consequences In Life
God might tell us not to spend our savings, but we decide to go ahead and do it. Then the car breaks down, and we get mad at God because we don’t have money for the repair. He tells us that we shouldn’t be with a certain person, and then we ignore him, get married and the marriage is a mess. We live beyond our means and then question God why he’s not providing “enough” to meet our want. We eat poorly or overeat and don’t exercise and then question God why we have so many health problems. God tells us not to do certain things because he can see what’s ahead. We have to learn to trust his quiet whispers of guidance that are inside of us.
Every Minute Is A New Opportunity To Be Obedient
We need to go back to the last thing God told us to do and do that thing. God won’t give us specific direction until we follow his general direction. As we begin to obey what God is telling us, we will begin to see the storm dissipate. Every minute is another chance to make a better decision. Let’s choose to do that right now.
