All hell breaks loose anytime God tells us to start something new that will take us to the next level. The trouble is that the enemy knows God has commissioned us to do something big. The enemies on our current level are different than the enemies on the next level. Every new level has a new devil.
Remember Donkey Kong?
In Donkey Kong, we have to travel up the ramp and ladders with the goal of getting to the top so that we can go to the next level. As we run along, we have to jump over barrels that are rolling towards us. Every time we conquer one level and move up, the barrels come faster, even two at a time. Moving up doesn’t mean it gets easier, it means we are prepared for more challenges.
The Next Level Is A Little Harder, But Don’t Give Up!
When we go to the next level, the enemy has heated up the opposition to discourage us because there will be greater things happening. The enemy is trying to stop us BEFORE we get there. In Donkey Kong, the challenge of the game is for it to stop us before we make it to the top of each level so that we cannot move on to the next. We have to start again at the current level. Whatever we do, we cannot give up!
Arise And Go
In Jonah 1:2, God told Jonah, “Arise and Go.” And that is the crux of life. God is telling us to get up and go to the next level. Do the last thing he told us to do. Then do the next thing he tells us to do. Every level prepares us for the next. God has a plan for each of us. He doesn’t call the qualified; he qualifies the called. If we will do as he says. Arise and go. What has he placed in your heart today?
