It’s not that we aren’t doing the right thing; we just aren’t doing it long enough. Stop looking back and saying if I coulda, shoulda, woulda. We can’t go back and alter that decision. There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

Your Do Vs. God’s Done

Stay focused on what God is doing in and through you. Get into church and ask God to work in your heart. Stop abusing (abnormally using) yourself. Stay in love, and it will keep you from losing focus and blasting out that text or email in an angry response.

Misdirected Focus

On the way home I start thinking about the dishes that are probably still in the sink; the ones that I told my daughter to clean up. You see, I’m already focused on something that is going to set me off. I’ve primed the charge, and I don’t even know if there is a reason. THAT is a misdirected and ineffective focus.

What Love Is And What Love Is Not

Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.
It does not demand its own way.
It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
(1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Stay Focused!

Dear Heavenly Father,
I ask you to help me focus on the good parts. Help me to focus on you, your will, your plan and not on me or my shortcomings. Help me to stay focused on the one thing that you are doing in and through me. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN!
