People have money and are happy. People don’t have money and are happy. People who have a right relationship with money produce in the spirit, not in the flesh. We can build a house but unless the Lord builds it we labor in vain. (Psalm 127:1) Many of us produce something in the flesh while not being in the center of God’s plan.
If My Faith Hasn’t Touched My Wallet, Maybe It Hasn’t Touched My Heart
Maybe that means I am still prioritizing everything else ahead of God, and that’s why I’m not being blessed. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3) God has to know he’s first. It can’t just be lip service.
God Can Pave The Way For Unique Opportunities That No One Else Gets
I have a friend who developed a business plan that any investor would be crazy to sign, but two investors fought over funding his dream. He is now a well-established and flourishing Powersports dealer in the
Midwest.
Another friend was going to go broke. Someone advised them to go to church and to put God on the payroll
and then God would bless their business. In the mid-1980’s, these folks chose to honor God and now they are one of the largest steel manufacturing businesses in the U.S. All owned by a guy who said, “God this is yours, I’ll work with what’s left.” God’s blessing on 90% goes exponentially farther than 100% without it.
God Does Not Show Favoritism (Acts 10:34)
What God does for one, he’ll do for another. He loves his kids and wants to bless them all equally. Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. (Proverbs 3:9) God so loved the world that he gave… (John 3:16) He gave first.
Be Encouraged!
Heavenly Father, I repent of not putting you first, I’ve had you in the mix somewhere, but I’m stepping out to show my commitment to you in my actions. And Lord, I pray for every person who is struggling in business or who has a dream to be in business, that they will be blessed in your mighty name! Amen!
