We end up where we are because we say where we are going. Our words direct the path of our life. If a mountain ends up in our path, we need to say something! God used words to make something happen. “Let there be light.” If words can create mountains, then words can move mountains.

What Is Your Mountain Saying?

– You’re not going to make it.
– You’re not going to live out your days.
– The business is not going to start now that they’ve stolen all of your clients.
– You HAD an opportunity but missed it, and there won’t be another.

David’s Mountain Said Something To Him, And He Always Had A Response

In 1 Samuel 17:42-50 David spoke back to his mountain, except his mountain was a giant.

Goliath told David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks? I will feed you to the birds!”

David talked back, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied….the LORD will deliver you into my hand…for the battle is the LORD’s.”

David sent his last word, and Goliath received it in the forehead and was killed.
Goliath didn’t say another thing.

The Overcomer Words Agree With God

Prior to David’s arrival, Goliath had the army of Saul cowering in fear. The one who stepped up was a teenage shepherd boy who walked with God. Against all odds, in size and experience, David overcame where all of his peers and family did not.

When Dealing With The Enemy, Always Have The Last Word

If the mountain is speaking to you and you give up, then the mountain continues to grow. We create a mountain out of a molehill with our words, or we can overcome the mountain with our words. Word choice is important. Our words set our course. When we don’t know where we are going, we never set any records.

Be Encouraged!

Lord, I decree and declare that the mouth of each person reading this blog will not be silent, and we will not allow the mountain, our obstacle, or our enemy to deceive us into thinking we are in a position of weakness. Through you, Lord, we always come from a position of strength. We are overcomers, and we SPEAK like overcomers. Amen!
