How do we get hungry? We WATCH commercials that give us a hunger for a burger or a new car. We TALK about boats or motorcycles with friends and then start wanting them. We THINK about what we want, and it fuels our hunger. We spend time in the PRESENCE of the things we want and then want them even more. If we see commercials about it, talk about it, think about it, and are in its presence, we are going to want chocolate cake. God is the same way!

See, Be, Talk, Think.

SEE: When we look at the inside of our Bible, we give God a chance to speak to us in one more way. He may reach us in the first verse we see or ten verses later, but he talks to us through his word.
TALK: When we talk about God he loves it! The conversation can begin with a question. If no one knows the answer, study and pray about it then go back and continue the conversation.
THINK: We think about the love of our life, why wouldn’t we also spend time thinking about God?
BE: We spend time with those we love or want to know more about. God wants to reveal himself to us, but that means we need to spend focused time with him. We need to BE in his presence.

Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day

Sugar addictions don’t start with one teaspoonful. After days and weeks of taking it in, we get a hunger for it that won’t go away. Hungering for God is the same thing. Remember, God wants us to turn the phone off and give him our focus at some point during each day. If we take one step toward him, he will take many toward us (James 4:8)

Be Inspired!

Lord, I decree and declare that each person reading this will get a hunger for you that drives them into your arms every day. As each person responds to this message, light a fire in them to read about you, talk about you, to spend time with, and to think about you. Amen!
