I mentioned in yesterday’s blog that my Dad sent one dollar a day to the same ministry for years. After a year, the people receiving the mail were trying to figure out who this Crank person was. Each day they began anticipating the Crank letter.

The Reward For The Faithful

The generous person shall prosper (Proverbs 11:25). My Dad’s faithfulness has been rewarded. In 2015, God nudged that ministry to put FaithChurch.com on their television network thirteen times a week for free.
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. (Luke 6:38)

The Unexpected Increase

We figured out that in one year, this ministry’s television network will have given what equates to approximately one million dollars in free air time to FaithChurch.com. What a blessing! My Dad did not know that he would not see the fulfillment of the seed he sowed. His investment and obedience to God paved the way for a generational blessing.

Be Encouraged!

When you sow, you aren’t just planting a seed for God to harvest for your benefit. You may be planting seeds for your kids. There are probably trees whose shade we enjoy because someone planted them years ago. Sow in faith, establish the habit, maintain a giving mindset, be willing, and the generous person shall prosper (Proverbs 11:25).

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it ” (Malachi 3:10). (See also Luke 6:38).
