We need to protect our head. Many states have motorcycle helmet laws because our head is the control center for the whole body. Not having use of our head is like using a car without a steering wheel. There’s nothing to direct it. Since our head controls our body, we need to protect our head. When we lose our head, our body does some crazy things.

The Fight Is Not Physical

There’s a whole unseen world that is trying to invade your world. You think its Bob or your boss at work or money. No. It’s the evil one trying to wrestle with your head.

Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.(Ephesians 6:11-12)

Put on the whole Armor of God:
1. Put on the belt of truth
2. The breastplate of righteousness
3. The shoes of peace
4. The shield of faith
5. The helmet of salvation
6. The sword of the Spirit
7. Praying always

Wear Your Helmet

The helmet of salvation protects your mind from the enemy’s darts and thoughts such as, “You’re not good enough. You’ll never accomplish that. No one wants you. You’re no good.” As we allow the word to get into our heart, we realize that these are not physical opponents that we are facing. We’re not wrestling against flesh and blood. We are wrestling against master spirits, according to the Bible.

Be Encouraged!

Lord, we are wearing your armor today. We read your word to strengthen our shield of faith from the enemy’s darts. We use YOUR words instead of our own when the enemy comes against us. We walk in our peace shoes and receive your peace. We acknowledge you as we walk through our day, praying always. We ask for and receive the freedom you offer. Amen!
