We need to start overestimating what we can do in a year and underestimate what we can do in ten years. The ten does not matter if we can’t stick with the plan for the one. This choice isn’t something that begins in January. Start now. We know what needs to be done, we just don’t do it consistently, and consistency is the brilliant factor.
Consistency
This message is your 911 call for today. I’m here to get you fired up. I encourage you to commit to that thing that you want and set it as a goal. Wake up that thing inside of you and get determined. Say, “I’m going to stick with it no matter what!” People get mission drift and don’t stick with a job, marriage, or a church. A seed planted can’t grow a harvest if it doesn’t stay in the ground.
Here’s What Stirred My Future
I said, “I’m thinking thoughts that are catalysts for my future. I’m having regular encounters with God – – in fact; he’s probably talking to me right now. I’m pulling up the roots of mediocrity and disappointment. I’m planting new seeds of appointment. I’m taking mission trips, building orphanages and churches and I’m helping people. I’m inspired today, and I am doing something great. This year I’m accomplishing more than I ever thought possible because I am consistent.” Fill in this paragraph with words that represent YOUR life and begin saying it out loud to yourself.
Be Encouraged
This a new way of thinking. It’s long range reality planning. If we don’t like the past, we need to begin making different choices so that we can begin to see a different outcome unfolding behind us. I encourage you to use the brilliant factor. Stick with it today; you will absolutely make it happen. God is consistent, and we are made in his image, so we inherit the ability to be consistent too. I call you blessed! Amen.
