It is important that we never burn bridges. We should be nice to everyone we meet. We never know when our next stepping stone will be tied to the one person who knows where we are and who we are. Some people have the purpose of connecting other people with their blessing.

Show Me Your Friends, And I’ll Show You Your Future

My friend Pastor Phil Munsey started out in life much as I did. His family had meager beginnings, and his church was small. He decided he wanted God to stretch his capacity, so he wanted to change who he was around. He began going to sit at the Ritz Carlton every day. He budgeted $10 a day, $5 for the valet and $5 for water so that he could stay and sit and enjoy the opulence among the people.

Sometimes It’s Not Who You Know, But It’s Who Knows You

A few years later, Joel Osteen was at the hotel and asked that same valet, “Where do you think I should go to church today?” The valet remembered Pastor Munsey and suggested his church. Why? Because Pastor Munsey tipped him and was kind to him. Be nice to people, because, on your way back down, you might meet them on their way up. Your next level is often connected to another person.

Be Encouraged

Lord, I decree and declare that my friends who are reading this today are going to the next level. They treat everyone as significant because everyone is significant to you. We are nice to the servant, thankful instead of a griper and we are memorable tippers (in a good way)! Lord we thank you for each opportunity that you provide for us to help someone; likewise, we thank you for influencing others to step in and help us move up to the next level. Amen!
