Half of the things that have happened in your life have not happened to you because you’re bad. They happened to you because God had a plan for your life, the devil knew that, and he tried to stop you because you have a special light. You didn’t get picked for teams in school and you didn’t sit at the cool table because they KNEW you had purpose. There was something special about you that they envied, you were different.
The Grass Isn’t Always Greener
The enemy tries to convince you that there is something better over there. So you start thinking about it, and you think I don’t belong here, I belong over there. What you don’t realize is that there are people “over there” who want to be where you are now, or they want to be with YOU.
You Are Not What You Did; You Are What You Do
Don’t let stuff get you down. The enemy will choose one thing and keep hitting you over the head with it in an attempt to discourage you. Whatever that favorite sin is that you do, don’t let it keep you out of church. God knows about and he wants a relationship with you.
I’m Not Mad At You, I’m Mad About You
Imagine God saying, “I’m not pointing a finger at you, I’m using it to draw you toward me, I’m going to put a ring on your finger, and a robe on your back. I’m not mad at you, I’m mad about you.”
Be Encouraged
Lord, your gift of salvation is not based on what we do, but what Jesus did 2000 years ago. You created each of us for a purpose and have positioned us for that purpose. We have to stop viewing ourselves through the lens of our imperfections. You love us because you see the Jesus in us, not our imperfections. I pray that each person reading this knows because of you they are the difference today!
