Technology is GREAT. Technology as a replacement for people is NOT GREAT. I’ve talked about isolation in past blogs to help show how it can hurt us when we choose isolation as a defense mechanism. The intent of “alone-time” should be as a form of rest and relaxation. Have you considered the online experience as a real way to connect with other Believers?
Do you just “Friend” or “Follow”?
Technology can make suggestions for websites to view, things to buy, people to “Friend” or “Follow”. (In fact, sometimes it kind of freaks me out at how accurate it is.) Do we just “Like” the occasional status or picture on Facebook? Do we just “Follow” and retweet posts on Twitter or Instagram? Do we just read blogs and never comment? The online experience can be as shallow or deep as we choose for it to be.
Use what God gave you and get engaged SOMEWHERE.
Let’s use the brilliant insight that God gave us. Let’s offer encouragement that God nudges us to share with others. The day we share our story of overcoming a challenge, might be exactly the day when someone else needed to hear it.
Online Campus: NO more excuses!
Our online campus at FaithChurch.com is growing fast. We want you to engage each other. You are brothers and sisters in God’s family. We love you and want to encourage you to GET PLUGGED IN with us. We hope you’ll be a part of our family, but we want you to know that there are online resources, teachings and pastors all over the world to give you spiritual feeding. Don’t stay an island unto yourself.
Our online campus, FaithChurch.com and other internet resources remove geographic boundaries and unite us as a family.
Wherever you are geographically located, you have no excuse not to be plugged in… unless you don’t have internet access. If that is the case, then you need to call in and get a CD mailed to you! We have MANY resources through our online campus, www.faithchurch.com, where you can get spiritually fed in different ways.
The website lists activities that you can get involved in which will help you get to know your equally as messed up brothers and sisters in Christ. I say that with love because I’m more messed up than all of you. THAT is the reason why God can use me so well to speak to you. But I don’t want any of you sitting out there thinking you’re not worthy of engaging YOUR brothers and sisters in Christ. God meets us all where we are, right now, and He makes us all worthy.

I’d like to encourage you today to get familiar with our online campus at www.FaithChurch.com resources, and get connected with us. But no matter what, get involved with other Believers somewhere and make yourself known. YOU HAVE A CONTRIBUTION TO MAKE. God has a purpose for you, right now, as you are.
