An airplane has an attitude indicator. This instrument shows the pilot the orientation of the airplane in reference to the ground. If our goal is to go up in altitude, then our attitude in reference to the ground needs to be oriented up.
Eyes Up!
Our eyes should be oriented up, on Jesus, the one who can show us how to break any negative cycles! But instead out attitude and emotions cause us to make decisions that can cause us to lose sleep when we should be enjoying time with our family. Money and envy cause us to try to keep up with the Joneses, who are in debt up to THEIR eyeballs. We make excuses, and we rob God.
Where Is Your Attitude Taking You?
I’d like to encourage you today to evaluate your attitude and what direction it’s taking you. Is it uplifting or dragging you down? Does it help you make good decisions that support your goals or is it self-defeating? And most of all, are you putting the focus on God and being thankful or are you focused on what you don’t have?
Consider The Glass Half Full. Be Thankful.
God is good all the time. Consider having an attitude of praise and thankfulness today no matter what you’re facing. Thank God for what He is doing in your life that you are not even aware of yet. Your attitude will promptly improve your quality of life.
