SHARE THIS POSTI have to admit, back during the start of our ministry’s Haiti Program, I got snared by the fine print!
We were all over the hills of that island, helping with recovery after the earthquake. There were deals to negotiate, efforts to coordinate, and supplies to move from one point to another.
We got most of it done using just my phone. But, I didn’t realize how much I’d been on that phone until I got home and saw the bill.
$3,300!!! WHAT???
Apparently, there wasn’t much cell coverage in an earthquake-ravaged country. So, my phone had been defaulting to a super-expensive service.
I’d been roaming around like Moses…but in complete ignorance! Lol
The phone company was nice enough to point out that it was all right there in the FINE PRINT of my contract.
(Thankfully, in the end, we were able to negotiate the bill down to less than half.)
When we repent and give our lives to Christ, we don’t have to negotiate or beg. Jesus loves us so much that He’s already COVERED THE COST of all our sins: past, present, and future!
We are RIGHTEOUS, (in right standing with God) right now!
Jesus has picked up the check! He’s paid our entire bill IN FULL… and then some!
