Do you like to be chosen? Chosen for the job? Chosen by your loved one? Chosen for the dodge ball team back in elementary school? Well, God wants to be chosen too. Have you ever thought of it like that? Have you ever considered that God took a risk creating us? He took a HUGE chance of being rejected when He gave us the freedom to choose.
One great theologian said “Man is God’s risk.” Nearly every theologian describes our human freedom as something that is very risky to God. It’s almost like God imprisons himself by allowing us to make our own decisions.
Adam and Eve were the first ones to use the right to choose something other than God’s plan and that single right to choose kept them from ruling in their personal paradise.
God in his infinite wisdom made us in his image to rule and have dominion here on earth.
God created us with his brilliance on the inside. Think about it, God asked Adam to name everything that was created. Can you imagine that? What freedom!
I believe that God wants us to stop being a spectator and become a participant. I believe he wants us to do great things during our time here on earth.
You have everything you’ve ever needed within you. You were made in the image of your Creator!
You’ve been given a great gift in the life before you. As a child of God, you have inherited the power of your Father, so use it with wisdom, love, and the brilliance He’s given you.
I’d like to encourage you today to use your power and choose wisely!
