YOU CAN’T BE A CONTROL FREAK.
Yes, I admit, this particular blog is ALL about me….
My name is David Crank and I’m a control freak!
This has been an issue with me for years. As our organization began to grow, I had to learn to let go of the controls and let someone else take charge of certain areas.
I’m a pilot and one of the hardest things for me to do is to EVER trust someone else to grab the controls and land the plane. But sometimes I have to close my eyes and hand the yoke to someone else and allow them to land the plane in case there’s ever an emergency situation they have the skills necessary to complete the function….
The bible says, Christ is our only safety Proverbs 29:25, and apart from Him we are absolutely powerless John 15:5.
Any desire to be in control is futile, and any sense of control we have is just an illusion.
Trying to keep control and not delegating will HOLD YOU BACK.
Allow OTHER PEOPLE TO RISE to the occasion and take some responsibility away from you SO YOU CAN REACH the level that you need.
You can’t keep a foot on every rung of the ladder, you have to step up to the next level and give others the opportunity to move up to the one you just freed up.
So stop being a control freak…
The law of delegation will free you up and allow you to be the leader you know you should be.
