Do you ever feel like life is pushing you around? Does it seem like things just keep happening and you have no control? Does it feel like life has the steering wheel and you’re just along for the ride? Well, I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be that way. We all have to speak BACK to our problem and stop letting the problem speak to us.
Distractions And Delays: Everything That Tries To Keep Us From Hearing The Word
The devil fights to keep us from the Word of God. Have you ever noticed how hard it can be to get to church? Do things happen to make us late or to create anxiety or to wear us out so we FEEL like there’s nothing left to give to a worship service? That’s because the devil fights to keep us from hearing the Word. But the more we hear the Word, the better it gets!
Can These Dry Bones Live?
In the bible, God points Ezekiel to a field of dry bones. He asks Ezekiel, “Can these dry bones live?” (Ezekiel 37:3) The questions for us today are:
Can the marriage be revived?
Can the business bounce back?
Can our kids overcome their challenges and grow into productive adults?
Are we ever going to settle on a church?
The answer is YES to every one of these questions.
God Commands Us To Speak Over Our Problems
The next thing he was told to do is to speak over the bones and they rattled, there was movement! (Ezekiel 37:7-8) So when we begin to speak or even SCREAM at everything dry in our life, it might just begin with a little movement. Ezekiel was told to speak and the dry bones became covered in flesh but had no breath or life. The marriage or business might still appear to have no life, but we have to keep speaking over it!
What Are You Waiting For? Say Something!
We are to walk by faith and not by sight. Don’t just sit there, SAY SOMETHING! We have to get so full of the Word that offense just bounces off of us.
Ezekiel 37:9 “Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.”
Ezekiel 27:12 “O my people, I will open your graves of exile and cause you to rise again.”
Speak to your dry situation. Speak that it receives breath, life and comes back to life!
Are We Saying What God Tells Us To Say?
Ezekiel is told three times to speak. And in Ezekiel 37:7, he says that he spoke as he was commanded. Do we say what God tells us to say? Or do we say what we want to say? Do we agree with our circumstances? Or with God?
The fight of faith is priceless. Visa can’t do it for you.
We can’t hire someone to fight the battle for us or to praise God for us. The Bible says, “Let the weak say I am strong.” (Joel 3:10) What are you saying today?
