Hearing the word no regularly can put us in a funk. It can cause us to start focusing on the negative. What we think about becomes what we say. The following are a few things to help you get headed in the right direction.
1. Stop Complaining
Identify what is causing you to complain. Redirect your energy. Be positive. Negativity attracts negative results. Choose the positive. A positive mindset prepares us for promotion.
2. When Life Hands You Lemons
Turn the problem around. Turn your divorce into a great ministry. My wife, Nicole, turned a rape, molestation, and teen pregnancy into a nationwide ministry. God can help you turn the lemons in your life into refreshing lemonade.
3. Be Willing To Do What No One Else Wants To Do
Give your all to every real estate open house, provide outstanding customer service in the fast food industry, and clean offices or bathrooms with excellence. The point is to deliver a work ethic that shows you want the next level and to deliver it every time. Keep pushing and eventually, you will get the big haul.
4. Be Fearless
He who observes the wind or economy will not sow (Eccl 11:4-5). In business, you don’t know which way the wind is will blow. You can’t use the economy as a decision for how to make your next move. I decide that I can handle the worst thing that can happen and then I take the risk. People who do something big have been kicked. It should make us strong and fearless, not a coward.
Be Encouraged
Lord, we embrace the No’s and use them to make us strong and courageous. We are strong in YOUR strength. We look to you to make lemonade with life’s lemons (Romans 8:28). We do what no one else wants to do. We are fearless and speaking only positive things. We are keeping our mouths in agreement with you. Amen!
