When a balloon is full of hot air it rises, then as it cools it drops back down. Our feelings are similar, much like a roller coaster, yet that’s not how God intended. When a balloon is full of helium, it rises and stays above the situation. It is consistent, never moved by what it sees, it is stable and reliable.

“Feelings, Everyone Has Feelings.”

We need to manage our feelings. God has feelings. We are made in his image (Genesis 1:26) and the Bible reads in John 11:35, “Jesus wept.” God did not intend for us to experience feelings and then use that temporary feeling to initiate pain on others. Instead of sabotaging our relationships by holding onto the bad things, we need to choose the good parts.

3 Scenarios Occur:

1. We are wrong. We apologize and admit we are wrong. Let’s all say, “I was wrong.”

2. We aren’t wrong, but we say we’re wrong just to smooth over the situation and any inflammatory feelings.

3. We are right. We ACT wrong, so now we ARE wrong! Now we need to apologize again.

Be Encouraged

Our Father will forgive us as much as we forgive others (Matthew 6:14-15). It is not for the sake of having rules or punishment, but because unforgiveness keeps us from loving others as God loves us (John 13:34). God is all about relationships and he WANTS us to prosper in all things and to be in health, just as our soul prospers. (3 John 1:2).

The Goal For Today!

Today, I encourage you to stop letting the enemy win by holding grudges, start letting go, remember how much God loves you and has sacrificed for you and then love others the same way.
