Do you ever feel like your life is all about performing?
– perform to get good grades in school
– perform in sports to get awards, scholarships or approval
– perform on the job to get a good review or promotion
– perform to get a guy/girl to like you
– perform to keep your parents happy
– perform to keep your pastor happy
– perform to keep God happy???
Jesus cancelled out the old performance system and put a NEW ONE in place.
The Old Testament if full of “If you’s” and the “Top 10 Do’s” and while it’s a good idea to do those things, they won’t get you into heaven.
Your CONDITION may still be a work-in progress, but your POSITION is set in stone by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Yet the enemy will try to convince you that you have to ALWAYS DO RIGHT and NEVER DO WRONG. Good luck with THAT!!!
When you feel bad, you’re thinking God’s thinking something he’s NOT. It’s your imagination!
The fact is we don’t get what we deserve, Jesus got what we deserve.
DO NOT accept the enemy’s tattoo of LIMITATION!
King David was a man after God’s own heart, yet he messed up and committed murder and adultery. Religion says you need to feel bad, God says, admit it, quit it and forget it.
The next time the devil reminds you of what you deserve, you need to tell him, “I don’t get what I deserve because Jesus already took care of that for me!”
