Our society goes through periods of freaking out over the economy. We as children of God don’t get dismayed because our roots say that OUR GOD shall supply all of our needs and he will never forsake us. That means he will never leave us emotionally, spiritually, physically and he WILL provide for our needs.
Wrong Roots And Right Roots
A seed needs to be buried in a dark place. Soil meets that requirement. The word of God needs to be planted deep within our hearts so that it can take root. A seed doesn’t stay a seed forever if it’s in fertile soil. It has to break forth and grow. When we set a goal, it requires us to stretch and has to hurt a little bit. We can’t grow and stay comfortable in our current state.
Things Are Happening Beneath The Surface. Don’t Get Frustrated.
In Proverbs 12:1-3 it discusses loving discipline, loving correction and having deep roots. Knowledge equals deep roots. When we get into fertile soil, where we are willing and obedient, our root can grow, and we can begin to sprout up. Before we sprout, it doesn’t look like much is going on because it’s all happening beneath the surface. In the fifth year, in three weeks, the bamboo grows over 18 feet tall.
Be Encouraged!
Maybe you’ve gotten comfortable with the business and are starting to stretch. Maybe you’ve begun making Tuesday night worship a priority. You know a tree by its roots and the root of the righteous shall not be moved. Is it really coming for you? Think of the bamboo. With the touch of God’s favor on your life…BOOM…on that 27th, 41st, 53rd, or 67th year, THAT’S when you’re going to enter the year of your blessing. Will you come into agreement with me on this?
