Do you ever just want to knock someone out? Or at least knock them down? Do you find that there are plenty of opportunities throughout the day to get offended?
Life is full of inconveniences and difficult people. We can’t control the people around us, but we can control our reactions to them.
There once was a taxi driver who was cut off by a garbage truck. When the truck driver gestured angrily at the taxi driver and sped away, the taxi driver just waved and smiled.
The passenger in the taxi asked why the taxi driver had responded that way.
The taxi driver said, “Everyone has a load of trash that they are carrying around, just waiting to dump on someone. I happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. That incident had nothing to do with me. So I’m not going to let it ruin the rest of my day.”
“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it.”
Under Pressure, Your Faith-Life Is Forced Into The Open And Shows Its True Colors. (James 1:3)
Paul always leaves on a note of victory! He says, “I might get knocked down, but you’re never going to knock me out!” There’s a difference in being knocked down and knocked OUT. I’ve been knocked down a few times and I’ve found the most important thing is to ALWAYS GET BACK UP!
The Joy Of The LORD Is Your Strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)
If you HOLD ONTO YOUR JOY and HOLD ONTO YOUR STRENGTH, then GOD CAN POUR OUT HIS BLESSING AND FAVOR ON YOU!
