Discipline yourself to say what you want, not what you have. Where the man goes the mind follows (Proverbs 23:7). When we say, “Monday is so hard, I hate Monday.” We aren’t setting that day of the week up for success. Our words pave our future. Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17). Our brain finds ways to activate our words, so our actions follow our words.
The Discipline Of Saying What We Want Instead Of What We Have
If we want to have a good day we can begin by giving thanks. We need to find the good in it, no matter how small. We need to be disciplined enough to say:
– what we want, not what we have
– what we want, not what we see
– what we want, not what we think
– what God says, not what others around us are saying
Be Not Conformed To This World (Romans 12:2)
Others say, Monday is hard, we say, Let the weak say I am strong (Joel 3:10). Others say I don’t know what’s going to happen; we say God’s got this. Others say, everything is going wrong, we say, we know that God works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We do not put our faith in man (Psalm 118:8), or the economy, but in our Lord Jesus Christ and nothing takes him by surprise.
Be Encouraged
Lord, we are not defined by what we see in our life right now. We agree that this is the day that you have made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24). We know that you are FOR us (Romans 8:31), not against us (Jeremiah 29:11). We are your kids, and we’re making a contract with you to enjoy our life. In your mighty and matchless name, Amen!
