SHARE THIS POSTWhen we were in Australia, there was a particular pair of shoes that I wanted to buy. But, when I told Ashtyn and Nicole, they said “NO! Those are old man shoes!”
I disagreed. “No, those are really COOL shoes!”
It was weird! We rarely argue about fashion. But, they were, both, so passionate about it that I finally just let it drop!
When we got to the convention, Judah Smith was up preaching. He’s one of the youngest, trendiest guys around. Even Hollywood sets their fashion by him.
“NO way!” I said, “I think he’s wearing my shoes!”
Later, at dinner I asked him, “Can I take a picture of your shoes?”
Nicole and Ashtyn had to admit “Oh my gosh! We were wrong! Those ARE cool shoes! You haven’t lost your fashion edge!
So, for my birthday, they took me out to breakfast and then to the shoe store to buy me those shoes! Now I wear them all the time!
In your life, don’t allow well-meaning people to change you or mold you into what they think you should be. God made you an ORIGINAL. It would be a shame to die a copy!
If the shoe fits… wear it! Only you can be you! So, be the VERY BEST version of you that you can be!
