When people have desires, they tend to pray, “God please do this for me.” One day I was praying for God to put us on television on a local ABC affiliate so that we could help MORE people. 
Also, I prayed for God to give us the buildings to accommodate them and give us the finances to make it happen.
And God replied with the following:
1. “David, do you actually think these are YOUR desires?”
2. “Who in the world would want to pay millions of dollars for television airtime?”
3. “Who in the world would want to be responsible for the air conditioning and heating of 300,000 square foot of church?”
4. “I just wanted you to know that these desires are not normal, David! AND they’re not YOUR desires.”
He said, “These desires are MINE that I have dropped into your heart so that you could carry them to term and give birth to them for me.”
What a FANTASTIC day this was for me! WOW!
Now I understand that I wasn’t trying to talk God into something that he didn’t want to do, this was HIS master plan the whole time!!! Now I know I have 100% buy-in from Him.
He’s just looking for me to pray the prayer of faith, in order to pull it into the reality of the tangible world – this has changed EVERYTHING!
Without faith, no one can please God.
If you and I are 100% comfortable that we know how God is going to work out every detail of this journey, then it’s not faith at all. The Bible says it’s impossible to please God without faith. And faith without corresponding action is dead.
So we shouldn’t just have a dream in our heart, we should get moving down this dark unknown road with the little bit of light that we have and WALK IN FAITH which pleases God!
